This is the "first-run" official app for the TruthForFree.com website! This app provides a more convenient portal to the mobile version of the site and also convenient access to the TruthForFree YouTube and Facebook pages. WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION?
* New Group Chat tab added! Now you can chat with other TruthForFree visitors. This chat module connects mobile and website users together in one place! Chat on!!!
* Changed the "HOME" tab label to "TruthForFree" since the tab does not actually take user to the Home Page. To get to the Home Page of the mobile TruthForFree page, press "Menu" at the top and choose "Home".

This app is now officially available through the Google Play market!!!
As mentioned previously, this app is simply a portal to the TruthForFree.com website rather than a fully self-contained application (which I may try to develop in the future). That having been said, it does have some unique advantages over a standard "bookmark" saved on your phone.
For one, you can view the full TruthForFree.com website if you desire and zoom in to read the text and the app will format the page so the words wrap for easy reading (something not normally possible when viewing the site directly). To do this, you will need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "ON/OFF" button titled "Mobile Theme".
There are also convenient tabs you can press to instantly take you to the TruthForFree YouTube or Facebook pages as well... and now LIVE GROUP CHAT has been added!!! You can chat with visitors to the website or with anyone using the mobile application or mobile website! More tabs may be added in future updates.
The app also makes it much easier to share and save to your phone than typing in a website address and saving a bookmark and all that.
KNOWN ISSUES:
* Because this app basically frames and formats the original website to fit in your mobile device's browser, occasionally the app will load the full website home page first instead of the mobile version. This appears to be a limitation of the service used to create the app. If this happens, scroll to the bottom of the site and there should be a link to switch to the mobile site manually. Apologies for the inconvenience.

TruthForFree.com is a website full of free resources for people on a journey to discover real Christianity and are not interested in mere organized religion.
TruthForFree is NOT a church organization (nor is it run by one), it's not run by professional pastors, it's not a Christian web store (or ATM - Automatic Tithing Machine - LOL), and I'm not trying get anyone to join our club! Oh, by the way, my name is Dave. I author the site along with some encouragement from some very close friends of mine.
This is simply a place to find encouragement, resources, and community. If you are tired and burned out on typical organized religion, you are invited to discover that there is life outside the walls of the hum drum called "church"... or as we like to call it, "churchianity".
While many religious folks (and religious leaders) often look down on the un-churched or church drop-outs and label them "backsliders", rebels, dissenters, trouble-makers, "lone-rangers", hurt, wounded, bitter, etc., the truth is that so many of us are really not "burned-out" on the Lord Jesus at all (nor are we trying to escape "fellowship"), but we are tired of the man-made systems of religion that do not reveal His character; We are burned-out on the control and manipulation, the feeling we're "going nowhere", the unbiblical teachings, the boring sermons, the arrogance of abusive and manipulative religious leaders, the feeling like robots (being told when to stand-up, sing, pray, talk, and sit-down), we're worn out on "the tithing talk", and the lack of REAL fellowship with other believers who simply want to follow Jesus together without all the religious trappings and legalism... and that's probably just scratching the surface.
The truth is Jesus NEVER directed anyone to start a church organization or to hire professional pastors to run them! He never told anyone to attend church every Sunday or "get under cover" of anyone but HIM!
You are invited to browse the site and app and see that abundant life is possible without the religion! I hope you'll discover, like so many of us have, that it isn't Jesus that's the problem! It that mindset called "religion" that gets in the way every time and mucks up the water.
