New Personalization Style Added to AppsGeyser’s Android App Making Tools

Friday, February 1st, 2013

In recent months we have been looking at how we can help Android app makers personalize their apps and are happy to announce that some changes have been implemented to our Android app making tools.

What has changed?

There are three main app templates that have seen changes, they are; YouTube Android app making tool, RSS Android app making tool and the Niche Android app making tools. At present the main change that has occurred is the ability to set the color of the app to your style. To do this follow the simple steps below.

1: Log into your AppsGeyser account and click on create app

2: Choose to create either a YouTube, RSS or Niche app

3: Create the app and click submit

4:Click on edit

5: Change the background colour of your app to suit your style

If you are looking to personalise your app further, you may do so using your advanced AppsGeyser dashboard. There are plenty of tips on how utilize our Android app making tools on our blog. Click here to go direct to our dashboard help post.

You can also be creative and implement script of your own. It is not as difficult as it may sound using our html editor makes this step easy. There are also some great html coding tips online. We recommend you learn the basics using w3schools.

AppsGeyser’s Android App Builder Now Includes an HTML Editor

Wednesday, July 4th, 2012

android app builder with built-in html editorWe’re always thinking about ways to make app-building easier and more fun for our app makers. One thing that has always bugged me about the AppsGeyser system is that I couldn’t just write something and have it be an app. It had to be in HTML or on a web page or part of a document.

That’s why the latest advance is one that I’m really excited about. Now, when you go to the CREATE NOW button, your second option is HTML CODE (as it has been for a while) but when you select that option, you can choose to enter HTML code from another website or HTML editor, or you can choose to add your own text, color, and formatting in our HTML WYSIWYG editor. Now, if you’ve ever used a word processor, you can make an HTML page with a nice layout that will instantly become your app.

If you’ve been frustrated with AppsGeyser apps not working when the user is offline, this is a great solution – you can offer static information by creating a primary tab that’s available offline using the HTML editor. Then you can include other tabs that offer information that is updated regularly. For example, you could make your business contact numbers and store hours available all the time on the first tab, and then you could use the second tab to showcase an online shop, and a third tab could be your blog.

Now, it’s easier than ever to make an app, even if all you want is to make your service hours or some other text available. If you’ve been hesitant about making an app, then go ahead, give the AppsGeyser Android app builder a try. If you can type, you can make an app!
