During our pre-launch testing we received a lot of feedback – and we’ve responded. Today we have a major update of AppsGeyser with many of the fixes and improvements you asked us about. The improvements include:
The preview of how your App will look on the Android device has been improved, especially for Apps created from the mobile website. Preview now appear nearly identical to the final App.
All links in Apps made from a web widget or using the web grabber now open in a new browser window. All links in Apps made from the mobile website open in the App.
Apps created from websites are now correctly scaled to device screen size.
App content can be zoomed using multi-touch gestures.
Apps created from web widgets store content locally, dramatically reducing loading time and performance.
Larger App area
The App area has been enlarged by removing the title bar.
Application force close
Fixes have been applied to fix a problem with forcing the application to close, eliminating problems on major devices.
Improved apps from mobile websites
Apps created from mobile websites now correctly detect width and height, and behavior is very similar to opening in web browser. The back button works correctly and returns you to previous page, and the home button exits to the Android desktop, leaving the App working in background.
Improved web grabbing
Permissions requests are limited
Apps now only request Internet access.
A menu has been added to include the Exit item, which will close your App. Pressing the home button will place your App on pause and bring you to Android desktop.
We’d like to thank our beta testers – your feedback is of great value to us. Please keep your ideas and suggestions coming, and let us know about any bugs you find. We are listening to you, guys!
