Build Android Apps that Work Better with the Navigation Panel
August 10th, 2012Often, we build Android apps that interface with other websites. This is especially true with apps that link to a blog or a site that is updated regularly. AppsGeyser has now added another way to work better with links. We’ve added our Navigation Panel, and it makes your app have an address bar and some other options including: Back, Forward, Refresh, Pin to Desktop, and Home.

This will help users stay within your app even if they need to use other sites to interface with your app data. There are a lot of great reasons why you’d want these options in your app.
To enable the Navigation Panel, you’ll need to go to your Dashboard, go to the Edit tab, select Advanced, and Enable URL Entry Field. Remember that you’ll need to rebuild your app to see the difference, and if your app is in Google Play, you’ll have to update your app there as well.

Let us know how they work for you and let us know if you need any modifications! We’d love to hear from people who really build Android apps using the new Navigation Panel.
