3 Reasons to Create a Network of Android Apps
November 15th, 2011A while ago, we discussed creating a family or constellation of Android apps. We said it’s the best way to get your app attention, and we’re going to say it again. There are three really important reasons why you should create a whole family of apps rather than a single app.
- You can cross-promote apps.
- Your app is not limited to one category in the Android Market.
- Your brand seems more ‘official’ and desirable in the market.
Still not convinced? Chew on this.
According to AppsGeyser’s research, apps that are part of a family are downloaded TEN TIMES more than single apps!
Is your app a lone wolf? If so, it’s time to change that. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be giving ideas for how to create a network of apps for various industries. Here are several examples that can be made with many different types of apps:
- Wallpaper
- Puzzle Game
- Facebook Page App
- Twitter Feed App
- Chat
- Events Calendar
If none of these fit your app, leave us a comment and tell us what your app does so that we can help you brainstorm some great ideas for an app constellation.
