Android is a very popular subject and there are loads of blogs about Android. Some of them are all about Android devices, while others are all about Android apps. If you’re serious about creating Android apps and distributing them to Android users, it’s important to know what’s going on in the world of Android. There are so many that it’s hard to know which ones are important to read. We’ve made a list of ten Android blogs that you should be reading to help you find the really important information about Android:

Community:
Android Central is a really active blog with contests and giveaways going on all the time. It’s a great place to read about both apps and Android phones.
Droid Life is a blog organized around a community. There are a lot of geeky happenings going on, so delve in and explore. There’s plenty of talk about both software and hardware, so even if you don’t understand the inside jokes at first, there’s plenty to keep you interested.
Phandroid is a good mix of human-interest, comedy, software reviews and information about hardware. This is one site that does it all, but they don’t necessarily carry the top news, just what their staff finds interesting.
Apps
AndroidTapp is an app review blog. It’s a great place to go to find out what new apps are hitting Android Market and whether they’re worth downloading or not.
AndroidPit isn’t just an app store where you can display your own apps. It’s also a great place to find out about hardware and apps. They compare hardware, discuss which carriers will carry which phones, and have great general information about what’s happening in the Android market.
General News
Android and Me For a summary of the Android news, Android and Me carries most of the good information about Android phones and tablets in a clear, concise way. It’s a great place to start reading to make sure you don’t miss anything big.
Talk Android has the news about Android. While some of the posts are about hardware, and there are some app reviews thrown in for good measure, there’s a lot of talk about Google as a company and Android as a platform in general. If you’re interested in what’s going on behind the scenes, Talk Android is a must-read.
Hardware
EuroDroid is a hardware blog with some app reviews thrown in. If you’re interested in finding out about the latest hardware, EuroDroid’s a great place to look.
Androinica is a blog that talks mainly about hardware, with some information about utility apps. There are occasional gaming app reviews, but Androinica isn’t the place to look for apps. If you’re looking to see which devices are upgrading to Gingerbread, Androinica is a great place to go.
Droiddog is a blog that talks tech. It gives the specs for new hardware, and talks about Android versions. If you want the technical side of Android hardware, DroidDog is the place to go.
